He has a degree (pre-Bologna) in Sociology (2005) from the ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, a Master's degree (post-Bologna) in Sociology - Cities and Urban Cultures (2010) from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC), where he presented his dissertation "Cultural mediation, experimentation and innovation: o caso do Serviço Educativo da Casa da Música", and a PhD in Sociology, also from FEUC, with the thesis "O trabalho criativo em Portugal: uma análise a partir do caso do design de comunicação" (2022). He was awarded a PhD scholarship by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), with the Centre for Social Studies (CES) at the University of Coimbra as the host institution for his research.
He has been a consultant at Quaternaire Portugal since September 2006, participating in studies and projects in the fields of Policies and Plans for Culture and Creativity, Heritage and Cultural Organisations, Tourism Plans and Product Organisation and Strategic and Sustainability Planning.
